Enterprise Multi-Team

One organization.
Many teams. Zero blind spots.

When your workforce spans 400+ people across regions and departments, a single flat team breaks down. Daywatch's multi-team architecture lets each department run independently — with full hierarchy, automatic failover when managers leave, and org-wide visibility.

✓ Team hierarchy & sub-teams✓ Orphaned team auto-detection✓ Cross-team worker transfers✓ Org-wide seat management✓ Per-team rules & schedules

The Challenge

What breaks when you scale past 50 people

Flat teams can't represent real org structure

A single team with 400 workers means one manager sees every shift, every rule, every notification. That's not management — that's chaos. Departments need their own space.

Manager departure = schedule black hole

When a regional manager leaves, their team's shifts, rules, and workers become invisible. The parent manager doesn't even know the team exists — let alone that next week's schedule is empty.

No cross-team visibility for executives

The CEO needs to see which departments are understaffed, which managers are overloaded, and where compliance gaps exist. With separate spreadsheets per team, this view simply doesn't exist.

Multi-Team Architecture

How Daywatch scales to enterprise

Hierarchical team structure

Create sub-teams under your main organization. Each sub-team has its own workers, shifts, rules, and schedule — managed by its own dedicated manager or inherited by the parent.

Automatic orphaned team detection

When a manager leaves or is reassigned, their team is automatically flagged as orphaned. The parent manager sees it in their team switcher and can manage it directly until a replacement is assigned.

One-click team switching

Managers responsible for multiple teams can switch between them with a single click. Each team loads its own workers, shifts, rules, and analytics — completely isolated.

Real-World Scenarios

How SecureGuard handles organizational changes

Manager Departure — North Region

Yael, the North Region manager (80 guards), resigns. Her team is automatically flagged as orphaned. CEO Roni sees it appear in his team switcher with an amber "No manager" badge. He can view and manage North's schedule directly.

Cross-Team Transfer — Guard Relocation

Guard #42 from the orphaned North team needs to be reassigned to Tel Aviv Central (120 guards). The CEO moves him with one action — his existing shift assignments are automatically cleared, and he appears in Maya's TLV roster.

New Manager Assignment — Restoring North

The CEO invites "New Yael" as a MANAGER role for the orphaned North Region. A new sub-team is created, the invitation email is sent, and once she accepts — North is fully operational again with its own schedule, rules, and team settings.

Org-Wide Seat Cap Enforcement

SecureGuard's BUSINESS plan supports 400 employees. When any team manager tries to add employee #401, the system checks the org-wide count — not the individual team count — and blocks the addition. Seats are shared across all 5 regions.
